Meet Coach Spencer!
Morgan Spencer has been the Head Coach of the Hot Wings since the Potomac League (NVCL) was formed in the summer of 2020. The Hot Wings have notoriously finished near the top of the standings every year and won the championship in 2022. Coach Spencer started his coaching career as the Junior Varsity Coach at James Madison High School before becoming the Head Coach at Centreville High School, where he led the Wildcats for 6 years. Spencer recently finished his 10th season as the Head Coach at South Lakes High School. He has led his teams to 9 consecutive appearances in the Northern Region tournament, and took the Seahawks to the Virginia State semi-finals in 2022.
Spencer is an employee of the MVP International Athletics program where he also takes baseball teams overseas. He also serves as a pitching instructor and camp director with the MVP Baseball School. Spencer played collegiately at Greenville University where he holds pitching records for single-season strikeouts, career strikeouts and pickoffs.
Morgan resides in Sterling with his wife Hope and his son, Holt.
